About Us

Baking Duos was founded by the owner Itzayanna Andrade in 2014. She started her baking career after she dropped out of high school. In 2014, she start baking cupcakes to donate to homeless shelter for women & children in Seattle. All the women and children were always so happy to receive cupcakes during the holidays. Itzayanna loved the excitement or making people happy through her baking. She started practicing decorating cupcakes and cake pops by watching YouTube videos. She decided to take orders from friends and family. Her brother/helper Michael would stay up late helping Itzayanna with her orders. Michael and Itzayanna sat in a room together thinking of a business until they reached their favorite "Baking Duos". They kept doing orders for couple of years. Michael decided to have his own career path. Itzayanna kept decorating cupcakes by herself. In 2018, Itzayanna completed her GED and went to Renton Technical College to attend a professional baking program. She gained more skills by learning how to bake different types of baked goods.
Since 2023, you can see Itzayanna & her family at pops up. Her family has an huge impact supporting her with her dream. Most likely you’ll them at pop ups together. Itzayanna couldn't have it any other way. It’s truly a blessing for her family to support until she reaches her ultimate baking dream. She will continue making great custom cakes and pastries from scratch.
